2 year agoHere's a another look at the scene. The red SUV was reportedly turning left (north) onto Quivira and hit the southbound van. The van's driver lost control as the van left the road, hitting pedestrian. Med-Act transported the pedestrian to an area hospital where he died
2 year ago.@OverlandPark_PD investigating a vehicle vs pedestrian crash in the 12000 blk of Quivira Road. One person is critical, one has non-life-threatening injuries. Police at the scene confirm they're awaiting the arrival of the Traffic Safety Unit to investigate.
It happened about 10:15 a.m. Southbound traffic is being sent onto Century. That turns into Long, and eventually exits to 125th Street. This closure will likely remain in place for several hours as police document the scene.
